The Challenge

To design UX/UI from scratch and develop a full-featured web platform for recruitment and onboarding — including vacancies, candidate management (ATS), interview tracking (Kanban), offer and document workflows, as well as onboarding and offboarding processes. The system also required role-based access control and advanced analytics, all implemented through a complete development cycle on React and Node.js.
The SolutionThe Solution

PapaHR is a modern HR system based on audit checklists and document templates for hiring requestsstrategies, and employee development plans. HR specialists manage all data, while employees and managers access documents via secure links or messengers like TelegramSlack, or Teams. An AI assistant helps users work with checklists and documents more efficiently.

The platform includes job templates with public linkscandidate profiles, a Kanban hiring pipelineinterview planning with evaluation cardscommunication templatesoffer and document managementonboarding and offboarding workflowsrole-based access controlactivity logs, and analytics on time-to-hireconversion rates, and candidate sources.

Technologies:

React

Provided a fast, interactive, and intuitive user interface, enabling the creation of dynamic components for candidates, job postings, and the Kanban-based hiring pipeline. It allowed seamless updates to the UI without full page reloads, improving the user experience for HR specialists, managers, and employees.

Next.js

Enabled server-side rendering and performance optimization, ensuring fast page loads and SEO-friendly public job pages. It also facilitated efficient routing and code splitting, which improved application scalability and maintainability.

TypeScript

Enhanced code reliability through static typing, reducing runtime errors and making the codebase easier to maintain. It improved collaboration across the development team by providing clear type definitions and better auto-completion in IDEs.

PostgreSQL

Served as a robust and reliable relational database for storing candidate profiles, application history, communication logs, job postings, and HR documents. It ensured data integrity and supported complex queries for analytics and reporting.

Kubernetes

Provided container orchestration for deploying and scaling the application reliably. It enabled automated management of services, improved fault tolerance, and allowed the platform to handle varying loads efficiently.

Jenkins

Automated the CI/CD pipeline, speeding up the release of new features and updates while minimizing deployment errors. It ensured consistent builds and smooth integration of new code changes across the project.

Cloudflare

Improved the platform’s security, performance, and availability. It offered protection against DDoS attacks, optimized content delivery for global users, and ensured fast and secure access to shared documents and public job pages.
